Community Liaison Officer, Mark Hargreaves (L) presents the October Safety Award to Residence Fellow Zoe Todd

The Campus Safety Services presented the October Residence Fellow Safety Award to Zoe Todd on Friday, Nov. 8.

The award is presented to a Residence Fellow, who is nominated by their peers, for going above and beyond to increase the safety and security of Carleton University’s on-campus housing community.

Zoe, Residence Fellow for the fourth floor of Glengarry House, was nominated for her actions in dealing with a male who was aggressive and posed a risk to fellow residents and staff. Zoe had located a male who was causing a disturbance in one of the residences. The male, who was uncooperative, became aggressive towards Zoe and other Residence Fellows.  Zoe’s quick thinking and experience assisted Campus Safety in locating the male and ensuring the safety of resident students was not compromised.

This is Zoe’s second year as a Resident Fellow. In March 2013, Zoe played a crucial role in supporting an emotionally disturbed student and ensuring that the student got the immediate assistance they needed.

The Campus Safety Services would like to thank Zoe for her continued dedication and contribution to the safety of all on-campus residents.
