Theft – MacOdrum Library

On July 21 2014, the Campus Safety Services received a report of a stolen laptop from the third level of the MacOdrum Library.

An individual reported that they were using the third level study space located at the south side of the MacOdrum library. The individual left their laptop unattended for approximately two minutes. Upon return, their laptop and power cord were missing. The theft is believed to have occurred at 11 a.m.

This is the third reported theft of unattended valuables from the third level of the MacOdrum library in the month of July.

The Campus Safety Services reminds all staff and students not to leave any valuables unattended for any period of time.

The investigation is on-going and a copy of the report was forwarded to the Ottawa Police Service.
