Theft – MacOdrum Library

On October 29, 2014, the Campus Safety Services received a report of the theft of an Apple MacBook laptop and head phones from the third floor study area in the MacOdrum Library.

An individual who was using study space on the South side of the third level had left their laptop unattended momentarily while they used the washroom nearby. Upon returning to the study space it was noted that the laptop and headphones were missing. The theft is believed to have occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m.

The Campus Safety Services reminds all staff and students not to leave any valuables unattended for any period of time. This was the second reported theft during the same week from the MacOdrum library.

The investigation is on-going and a copy of the report was forwarded to the Ottawa Police Service.
