CSS Patrol Team 1 received Heroism Award
Carleton University’s Campus Safety Services Patrol Team 1 has received a Heroism Award at the 2026 OACUSA Conference, recognizing extraordinary life-saving actions and exceptional courage.
The award honours those who demonstrate rare service, skill, and dedication while risking their own safety. The team earned this distinction after responding to a critical medical emergency in May 2025, where their rapid use of CPR, an AED, and Narcan restored vital signs and ultimately saved a life.
The individual made a full recovery—an outcome credited directly to the team’s swift, coordinated response and strong commitment to the well-being of others.
