Dr. Adrian Chan, a professor in the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering, has recently achieved the honor of being elected as a Fellow of the Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society (CMBES).

The Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society is Canada’s principal society for engineering in medicine and biology. The Society’s aims are twofold: scientific and educational: directed toward the advancement of the theory and practice of medical device technology; and professional: directed toward the advancement of all individuals in Canada who are engaged in interdisciplinary work involving engineering, the life sciences and medicine. A fellowship is conferred to a member of the Society with an exceptional record of accomplishments and service to biomedical engineering whether in practice, development or research. This recognition underscores Professor Chan’s notable contributions and expertise in the field of Medical and Biological Engineering.
