Now Hiring – CAB Event Coordinators

The Campus Activity Board (CAB) is looking to hire part-time student positions to serve as Event Coordinators for the fall and winter term. The ideal candidates will be helping us host our exciting lineup of events on campus including Bingo, Paint Nights, Trivia Nights and much more. As the majority of our events are hosted on Wednesday evenings, candidates must be available weekly on Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this position, candidates must be:
- Enrolled as a student at Carleton for the current 2026-2027 academic year;
- In good academic standing or eligible to continue as defined in the Carleton University undergraduate calendar
- Knowledge of the University, its administrative processes, and the various services that are offered to students;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and group process skills;
- Ability to work independently and take initiative;
- Strong problem solver and able to work well under pressure;
- Sensitive to the needs of all new Carleton University students;
- Professional, and have a strong understanding of customer service and public relations;
- Able to act as an ambassador for Carleton University, promoting positive values and leaving a positive impression with all participants;
- Demonstrating a desire to contribute positively to the student experience at Carleton University through past volunteer experience and campus involvement;
- Have experience with or interest in event planning, communications, and volunteer engagement;
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for hosting CAB events on Wednesday evenings throughout Fall and Winter Terms.
- Attendance/availability for these Wednesday evening events on-campus is REQUIRED.
- Execute event/program plans;
- Event Set Up / Tear Down
- Attendance / Registration
- Facilitating Activities
- Public Speaking
- Taking Photos / Videos during events
- Other duties as necessary
- Assists with the inventory of event supplies
- Connects with CAB Team Lead to review event requirements in advance of their event duties.
- Represent CAB at promotional/recruitment event opportunities;
- Review, provide feedback from each event.
- Other duties as necessary.
