Summer Orientation Day will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, with programming from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Please note that times and locations may be subject to change. More information about each activity is available below.

Stop by the Student Services Fair and learn about a variety of services and resources offered to Carleton University students. Learn about workshops, involvement opportunities and services they offer.

Off-campus students who apply for their Campus Card by August 4, 2025 will have an opportunity to pickup their card at Summer Orientation Day. Residence students will receive their campus card during move-in weekend.
Applying is an easy 3-step process:
- Register for classes
- Apply for your card online here
- Pick-up your Campus Card at Summer Orientation Day (make sure to bring government-issued photo ID)
Cards will be available for pickup at the Campus Card Office located on the fourth floor of Nideyinàn .
Tours

Take a walk through Carleton’s beautiful campus with one of our well-trained Campus Tour Guides. The campus tour will include stops at key locations across campus and include helpful tips to ensure you navigate campus with ease in September. Campus tours will run throughout the day starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 3:00 PM.

Do you have questions about what the academic adjustment to post-secondary education is like? Are you wondering what you can do to ensure you are setup for academic success before you begin your studies at Carleton? If so, join us for our Academic Experience Panel where professors across all five faculties share their suggestions, tip and expertise on how you can succeed in your studies at Carleton.
This session will be offered three times throughout the day at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

Do you have questions about involvement opportunities during your time at Carleton? Are you wondering what life as a Carleton student is really like? Join us for our Student Life Panel, where you will hear from current students studying across all five faculties on-campus as they share their experience as a Carleton university student, from clubs to volunteer opportunities, campus life and more!
This session will be offered three times throughout the day at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

Join the Department of Housing and Residence Life for an overview of what life in residence looks like at Carleton. Learn helpful tips, tricks and suggestions from residence life experts. Learn about the amenities and services available to students and discover ways you can get involved to ensure you are making the most of your residence life experience.

Join our Supporting Your Student presentation, where we highlight the challenges students experience during their transition to university, identify resources and tools to help you set your student up for success and discover ways your student can make the most of their time at Carleton.
This session will be offered at 2:00 PM.
