CU Pride Festival 2023 Opening Ceremony

The official Opening Ceremony for CU Pride Festival 2023!

Join us on Tuesday, October 10th as we officially launch CU Pride Festival 2023 with the raising of the Pride Flag during the Opening Ceremony!  

 The flag will be raised on Library Road, beside the Carleton University Pride Crosswalk, outside of Azrieli Theatre. 

 As we raise the Pride Flag, we will be joined by Sadie Messines Tobias, a 2 Spirited Elder of the Golden Eagle Clan, who will provide a land acknowledgement and opening prayer, along with Theo Paradis of the Bear Clan, who will provide drumming and singing for the flag raising. 

 We will also be hearing from community leaders such as Government Officials, Dr. Pauline Rankin, and the Gender and Sexuality Resource Centre (GSRC) Coordinators. 

 This event is open to everyone (students, staff, faculty, alumni, community members etc.).
