This will be a film screening of the documentary Paris is Burning with a small discussion afterwards, in collaboration with Carleton’s SEO for PRIDE week. 

The film offers a powerful glimpse into the intersections of gender, race, sexuality and class, highlighting the creativity and struggles of Black and Latinx queer communities. This will be a space to reflect, celebrate and honour the legacies of those who paved the way for LGBTQ2S+ liberation.
