The Canadian Sociological Association has a new podcast, CRStal Radio, that highlights work published in the Canadian Review of Sociology. In the first episode, Karen Stanbridge (from the Canadian Sociological Association) interviewed Sociology PhD candidate Lauren Montgomery about the article she published with Janna Klostermann, Samantha McAleese, and Sarah Rodimon, titled “Working the Project: Research Proposals and Everyday Practices for Emerging Feminist Researchers.” During the interview, Lauren speaks to reducing isolation and competition in academia, and summarizes the collaborative and feminist approach to grant writing (and academic work more generally) upon which her, Janna, Samantha, and Sarah elaborate on within the article itself.
