MJ student Brian Hill will be working over the summer for the Global News Ottawa bureau as the winner of Shaw Media’s Internship for Students with Disabilities. The internship comes with a $10,000 award.

A former member of the Canadian Paralympic Swim Team, Brian completed the demanding first year of the MJ program while also serving as the Head Coach of the Carleton Varsity Swim Team.

“I’m extremely grateful to everyone at Shaw Media for selecting me for this position,” he says, “and cannot wait to begin working at Global News Ottawa.

“It’s an extraordinary opportunity and it says a lot about Shaw’s commitment to integrating persons with a disability into their workforce and into Canadian broadcasting as a whole.”
