Departmental Academic Advising

Do you have questions about your BMPD degree path? See Leigh-Ann Butler, departmental advisor, to discuss specific concerns about your BMPD degree—including major/minor, academic difficulties, exchange opportunities, and graduation requirements. Connect via email or make an appointment.

By email. Please use your Carleton account and include your student number. Normal response time is 2-3 business days, and longer during peak times such as registration.

By appointment. Departmental advising appointments are individualized, half hour consultations. During registration periods, due to high volumes of inquires ONLY STUDENTS WHO HAVE BOOKED APPOINTMENTS can be seen in person.

General Academic Advising

Students with questions that are not specific to the BMPD program should see a general advisor in the Academic Advising office.

If you are experiencing academic difficulties, a general advisor can assist you to put together a plan to get back on track. They can also help if you have questions about reading your audit, choosing degree elements, and understanding academic regulations or the Academic Performance Evaluation.

Connect via email, phone or in person in order to discuss your academic plan. Contact information for general academic advising can be found here.
