The Public Affairs and Policy Management (PAPM) program, and the Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs, is saddened to learn of the death of Abel Mengistab.

Abel, who had just completed his third year of studies, was a valued member of our community. His interest in public policy was rooted in his commitment to social justice and anti-racism, a commitment he also lived through his political activism. He will be sorely missed.

We have been advised that Abel’s family is hosting a celebration of his life this Thursday at noon that will stream live on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/5IhvRsao3O8

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
