Founded in 2024, the Bachelors of Public Affairs and Policy Management (BPAPM) Case Competition is an interdisciplinary competition that provides students with the opportunity to gain a hands-on, comprehensive understanding of how policy impacts our everyday lives.

PAPM students learn is that effective policy making is both collaborative and inclusive; you can’t write a good policy if you can’t work with a team. The BPAPM Case Competition was designed to provide PAPM students an opportunity to cultivate and showcase these qualities, as they reflect our desire to influence positive change as youth. Now, the BPAPM Case Competition is open to all students in the FGPA, heightening out interdisciplinary goals.

Case competitions foster an environment where participants must use their problem-solving skills and come up with innovative solutions to a given challenge, and the BPAPM Case Competition always focuses on a municipal issue local to Ottawa.

The BPAPM Case Competition happens annually on a Saturday in January.

BPAPM students will receive emails with information on dates and deadlines for registration towards the end of the fall semester. If you are not a BPAPM student but you would like to stay up to date, or you have any questions, please reach out at bpapmcc@gmail.com or on instagram @papm_casecomp.
