Nathasha Macdonald
Associate Vice-President (Institutional Research and Planning)
Nathasha leads the Office of Institutional Research and Planning team, which collectively endeavors to support evidence informed decision-making, university planning, resource allocation, accountability, provincial and federal reporting obligations, and continuous improvement university wide. This involves a wide range of data collection efforts, producing standardized statistics and metrics, responding to numerous data and analysis requests to inform decisions, metrics for SMAs, as well as communicating relevant trends and indicators. By representing OIRP on various internal University committees, and Carleton on external committees, this role links policy and context to the trends, indicators and planning efforts OIRP is involved in. She is Carleton’s Senior Member on the Council of University Planners and Analysts (CUPA) at COU.
Nathasha has worked at Carleton since 2005, when she started in the same office as a Senior Analyst. She has previously taught economics and statistics at the College of the Rockies, in Cranbrook BC, and worked as an analyst for various agencies focusing on inequality research as well as post-secondary outcomes and research.
Nathasha has an M.A. in Economics from the University of Victoria, and a B.Soc.Sc. (Economics) from the University of Ottawa.
