New and returning first-year students are encouraged to schedule an academic advising session or email ECORSupport@carleton.ca to:

  • discuss your academic performance in courses,
  • make changes to your registration (dropping or adding courses),
  • review prerequisites needed to progress to second year, or
  • learn strategies or seek support for managing the first-year engineering workload

How to Book an Academic Advising Session

Academic advising sessions for first year engineering students are booked using the link below.
These advising sessions are 30 minutes in length and are hosted via MS Teams. Please ensure that you are logged in to Teams using Carleton credentials 5 minutes before your advising session begins. At your appointment time the advisor will call you via MS Teams (no meeting invitation will appear in your MS Teams calendar).

When booking an advising session, please ensure you enter accurate student number (CUID) and your @cmail.carleton.ca email address to complete your booking in the First Year Virtual Advising FlexAppointment calendar.
