Carleton University is committed to providing services that will enhance the personal safety of students, faculty/staff, and visitors on the University campus. ITS has been working closely with the Department of University Safety and Department of Physical Plant to ensure proper installation of the card access system.
Now used at over 350 doors across the campus, the card secures the perimeters of all residences, 8 academic departments and 7 administrative departments.
On students arrival to residence on September 4 or 5, they will be required to have their campus card and a PIN code to access the secured doors entering the building and floor. To gain access to the residence building or floor students will be required to swipe their campus card AND enter their personal 4-digit PIN code followed by the # sign.
To set their PIN students must log on to Carleton Central (CampusCard PIN Selection) to create their personal PIN code. They may change their PIN code at any time through this site. Students should protect their Residence PIN as they would their bank-card PIN code. Students who lived in Residence last year must also change their PIN code.
