PhD student Jean-Daniel Medjo Me Biomo and supervisors Thomas Kunz and Marc St-Hilaire, won the Best Paper Award for Exploiting multiple beam antennas for end-to-end delay reduction in ad hoc networks, at the 9th EAI International Conference on Ad Hoc Networks, Niagara Falls, Canada, September 2017.
Norman Lim (recently graduated PhD student), Shikharesh Majumdar, and Peter Ashwood-Smith (Huawei) won the Best Paper Award for A Run Time Technique for Handling Error in User-estimated Execution Times on Systems Processing MapReduce Jobs with Deadlines at the IEEE 5th International Conference on Future Internet of Things and Cloud (FiCloud 2017), held in Prague in August 2017.
