The digital wall, dubbed sWall, is now officially open! The digital wall with a touchscreen interface was created to commemorate both the 35th anniversary of the first graduates from the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering, and the 75th anniversary of the founding of Carleton University. Users can navigate a student-designed on-screen map of the campus using a hand motion sensor or activate a student-designed game in which the player controls the character’s movement through arm muscle contractions. The sWall also features a historical timeline, allowing users to virtually scroll through milestones for both Carleton University and the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering. Further applications will be developed in coming years.

See an article about the opening here. You can interact with sWall in the 4400 block of Mackenzie Building, in the landing nearest the Systems and Computer Engineering office. Make sure to visit!
