Story: Wandering Detection and Diversion project is a collaboration of the AGEWELL SAM3 NIH, with Bruyère Research Institute, Carleton University, IMPACTT Center at the Champlain LHIN and Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County. The project is a unique application of Smart Home technology and sensor integration to provide support to persons with dementia (PWD) and their caregivers (CG) with a specific focus on nightime wandering and elopement risk reduction for the PWD while also offloading the CG and allowing them to rest.
