Once again, the university proved its resiliency in pulling together the launch of this very important initiative in a timely manner. This program has the potential to contribute to the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic and will provide seed funding for individuals or teams of researchers for original, innovative and time-sensitive research. The funding will assist in leveraging external funding opportunities and partnerships targeting the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also provide much-needed opportunities for student employment.

From wellness and mental health, business and economic concerns to social adaptation and epidemiology, e-health technology and artificial intelligence, as well as impacts on Indigenous and international communities, Carleton University is demonstrating its strengths and leadership in key areas of research.
