Prof. Lauriault has been invited to participate in the Colloque International Le Chiffre et La Carte in Montreal this week. The Colloque brings together senior and junior scholars who examine numbers (aka data & statistics) and maps in their social, political, demographic contexts and as part of the nation building process. Participants are from Latin America, Africa, Europe and North America. It is organized by the Journal Histoire et Mesure, l’Institut d’études internationale de Montréal, le Centre interuniversitaire de recherche sur la science et la technologies et l’École des hautes études en sciences sociales.
