Meet two graduates of our Journalism program who made a seamless transition from the classroom to the newsroom.
Stefan Keyes (BJ ’09) is a News Anchor at CTV News in Ottawa. He was still in university when he landed his first job in television — writing the tickertape content at the bottom of the screen. Today, he files stories for the noon news, the national news channel, CFRA radio, on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and co-hosts the evening news with fellow Carleton alumna Katie Griffin.
Katie Griffin (BJ ’11) is a News Anchor at CTV News in Ottawa. Growing up, Katie Griffin was always curious about what was going on in the world and why. She knew she wanted to be a journalist and right out of university landed a reporting gig at CTV Ottawa. She now reports during the week and co-anchors the weekend news alongside fellow Carleton alumnus Stefan Keyes. She also files for the web, CTV News Channel and Newstalk 580 CFRA.
Keyes and Griffin were both featured in the new Faculty of Public Affairs initiative Generation FPA.
