Claudia Gleason

Biography

Claudia graduated with a Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies and a minor in Women and Gender Studies from Carleton University in 2021. Although her academic interests are broad, they include digital feminist activism, visual media, and ethical algorithms. Currently, she hopes to research the detection and representation of people of colour in racialized algorithmic technologies found on social media.

When she is not in class or working part-time at Environment and Climate Change Canada, Claudia can be found reading anything by Sally Rooney, drinking a Starbucks peppermint mocha, or walking around Ottawa with her film camera in tow.
