Biography

Liam Mooney is a leader in strategic communications, innovation and experience-design.

As a practitioner in the field, he has led Jackpine for 9 years, one of Canada’s most creative design-strategy and innovation firms. Jackpine serves clients in Canada, the United States and around the world to solve complex business problems and unlock new value by converting creativity into action.

Liam has been an instructor at Carleton University since 2015 – collaborating with 4th year students and using course work to create new business ventures, explore event design, and combine skills from journalism, media and communications to generate new opportunities for their futures.

As an authority on corporate strategy and branding he often appears as a guest on the CBC and as a keynote speaker and presenter for major industries in Canada.

Liam is also currently studying part-time at the Ontario College of Art and Design University in the Master of Design, Strategic Foresight and Innovation program. He is exploring new frameworks for innovation and design, with a focus on event and sport-venue real estate assets and their interactions with the communities around them.
