Reagan Zinck

Biography

Originally from Brockville, Ontario with an interest in advocating for vulnerable people, Reagan received an undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of British Columbia in 2022. During her degree, she wrote her honours thesis on climate change coverage in Canadian newspapers, and their impact on audiences’ perceptions and beliefs about the issue. Reagan’s research revealed to her the importance of journalism as a platform for advocacy, and the epicentral role journalists have in catalyzing constructive social movement in a rapidly changing society. As a future journalist, Reagan hopes to continue to support vulnerable and underrepresented communities by unveiling vital and otherwise neglected information within the realms of politics, social justice, and arts & culture. In her spare time, you might find Reagan writing sad songs on her guitar or falling off her skateboard.
