Mathieu’s medal-nominated dissertation on “Insurance Risks as Fictitious Commodities: The Institutional Constitution of Insurance Markets” was co-supervised by Aaron Doyle and Philippe Steiner from the Sorbonne. Mathieu will be taking up a SSHRC postdoctoral fellowship in January at Concordia University’s Karl Polanyi Institute of Political Economy. Mathieu is the fifth student to complete a cotutelle PhD at Carleton.
