The Honouring Dr. Agnes Calliste Symposium, held Friday, November 23rd in Res Commons, was a great success. The well-attended, lively, and moving event, organized by Daiva Stasiulis and Alejandro Hernandez, honoured the late Agnes Calliste, a foundational scholar of critical race and intersectional studies in Canada. It featured talks by Daiva, Amina Mire, Alejandro, Nahla Abdo, Amrita Hari, Xiaobei Chen, and Jiyoung Lee-An. Special thanks to the panel chairs Mikayla Sherry, Salina Abji, and Gazel Manuel.
