Chris Dixon helps launch a new social movement history website

Chris Dixon just helped launch a new social movement history website called #ShutdownWTO Organizers’ History Project. All of the individuals involved in launching the site were co-founders of the Direct Action Network, the group that organized the mass protests that shut down the World Trade Organization Ministerial in Seattle in 1999. The website collects history and reflections from people who were directly involved in organizing the mass direct action. They launched it to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the protests, which is coming up later this month.
