Louise de la Gorgendière receives 2021 CASCA Award for Teaching Excellence

Congratulations to Professor Louise de la Gorgendière, who is a recipient of the 2021 Canadian Anthropology Society/Société canadienne d’anthropologie (CASCA) Award for Teaching Excellence (Faculty).

The adjudicating committee found that Professor de la Gorgendière demonstrated an unwavering and passionate commitment to students and her craft. They were particularly impressed by the innovative and creative dimensions to the development actor approach taken in her Anthropology of Development course and to Professor Gorgendière’s commitment to anthropology student placements.

The award will be announced at the CASCA AGM in May during the conference ‘Engagement and Entanglements/Engagements et Enchevêtrements’ hosted by the University of Guelph.
