Fatemeh Mohammadi

The first memory I have of my time at Carleton is of the wonderful professors—from my late doctorate supervisor, Dr. Brian Given, to my postdoctoral supervisor, Dr. Donna Patrick—who not only encouraged me academically but also inspired me with their compassion. Additionally, I was able to develop a variety of opinions on many topics and concerns because of the various classes I took and the diverse people I was lucky to meet. One of the department’s strengths is its openness to varied academic perspectives and approaches, which enables students to grow without bias or prejudice and based on their own thinking. In the end, Carleton University became a second home to me because I spent an important portion of my life there.
