“I completed an MA in Anthropology and found that the opportunities for preparing creative presentations at university helped me learn how to speak confidently. The writing in my courses helped me communicate complicated ideas in very simple ways, and prepared me to write in a way that reaches more people. In terms of research proposals and funding, I learned that making those ideas clear and well defined is important. Learning how to produce a research project (fieldwork, data collection, analysis, etc.) at Carleton helped me tremendously in my work with the Moose Cree First Nation.”
