A birder/naturalist since the age of five, Biology Instructor Michael Runtz is an award-winning university lecturer, photographer, author, and keynote speaker who conducts natural history surveys and hosted the international television series Wild by Nature. One of our most beautiful butterflies, Baltimore Checkerspots are named after Lord Baltimore, whose coat of arms sport striking orange and black patterns.
