Your instructor may use the Scheduler tool in Brightspace to schedule events throughout your course term. The scheduler can be used to organize events during regular class time (group or individual presentation times) as well as outside of class time (office hours, feedback). Once your instructor has created scheduled activities, you can use the scheduler tool to register for specific time slots.
Registering for a time slot in a schedule
- Sign into Brightspace with your MyCarletonOne credentials.
- On the Brightspace homepage, locate your course in one of the following ways:
- Click on the course tile under the My Courses widget.
- Click the Course Selector Grid and select the course from the drop-down menu. If you are enrolled in more than 20 courses, you can search for the course name using the search bar.
- In the navbar, click Content.
- Navigate to the module that contains the scheduled activity.
- Click the Schedule link.
- Find the time slot you wish to register for.
- Click Select this time.
- Click OK. You have now scheduled yourself for a timeslot and you will receive an email confirmation.
Cancelling a registered time slot
- Sign into Brightspace with your MyCarletonOne credentials.
- On the Brightspace homepage, locate your course in one of the following ways:
- Click on the course tile under the My Courses widget.
- Click the Course Selector Grid and select the course from the drop-down menu. If you are enrolled in more than 20 courses, you can search for the course name using the search bar.
- In the navbar, click Content.
- Navigate to the module that contains the scheduled activity.
- Click the Schedule link.
- Click the button labelled Cancel my selection.
- Click OK. The previously scheduled timeslot has now been cancelled. You can return to the schedule activity to select a new time slot.
