ECOR Tutoring Service
The ECOR Tutoring Service is an initiative coordinated by the Faculty of Engineering and Design and the Office of Student Affairs and is an OPAIP grant-funded project. The ECOR Tutoring Service is focused on furthering engineering students’ understanding and comprehension in their first-year engineering (ECOR) courses, and provides students with free peer tutoring and academic support to help them achieve their learning goals.

Group Tutoring Session Schedule
Group tutoring sessions are led by engineering scholar, held in-person (in 4377ME).
Drop-in any time during the session, attend with your friends to collaborate and study together!

Individual Tutoring Sessions
Individual tutoring sessions must be booked ahead of time, and are either in-person (in 4377ME) or online (via TutorOcean) depending on engineering scholar availability. Appointment type is noted in the schedule.
How To Book A Tutoring Session
Engineering students registered in at least one ECOR 103X course are sent an email to their Carleton email address inviting them to join our tutoring platform. The invitation email is sent from the address notifications@mg.tutorocean.com.
Students will need to set up a TutorOcean account using the link provided in the invitation email.
If you did not receive an invitation email, or have any issues accessing our services please contact ECORTutoring@cunet.carleton.ca for assistance.
BOOK YOUR TUTORING SESSIONS HERE
Note: first-time users will need to set up an account from the invitation email (access is not linked to your cmail credentials)
- Individual tutoring sessions are 30 minutes
- Sessions can be booked 4 days in advance, and booking ends 30 minutes before an available period. Students can book 1 session per day, 4 sessions per week, and 50 sessions per term.
- Group tutoring sessions can be booked ahead of time, or drop-in and add yourself to the session when you arrive in 4377ME.
- The ECOR Tutoring Service is closed on University recognized holidays, during final exam periods, and during fall and winter reading week breaks.
- The ECOR Tutoring Service room (4377ME) will only be open during tutoring hours, but can be used as a study space on evenings (after 6pm) and weekends. Engineering students can use their campus card to access into this room (PIN required).

MATH Tutoring
Engineering students needing assistance learning MATH course material can access the Math Tutorial Centre (MTC) which offers tutoring for mathematics courses. And, the Math Homework Support Videos are an excellent source for just-in-time support in learning first year mathematics course content.
