Contract Instructor Positions – Summer 2014

Applications are invited from members of the CUPE 4600 bargaining unit and other interested persons to teach selected European, Russian and Eurasian Studies courses during the Summer Term 2012.

  • EURR 4100/5100     Nation-Building in Central and Eastern Europe
  • EURR 5108/PSCI 5103      Canada-EU Relations: Summer Module (two week intensive course – 3.5 hours a day for 10 days)

Applicants for these positions should normally have a PhD in a relevant discipline and relevant areas of expertise and teaching experience.  A course outline, CV, summary of teaching experience and, if possible, evaluations of previous courses, as well as two letters of recommendation and the Contract Instructor Application Form should be sent directly to the EURUS Director Jeff Sahadeo at jeff_sahadeo@carleton.ca or EURUS, Carleton University, 1125 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, Ont. Some of these courses may be taught by Contract Instructor employees who have the right to automatic reappointment.  Please note that instructors wishing to be reappointed must also fill out the CI application form.  All positions are subject to budgetary approval.
