Congratulations to EURUS professors Jeff Sahadeo and Martin Geiger who, as part of the Migration and Diaspora Studies Steering Committee, have been awarded one of the four Carleton University Research Prizes, the Building Connection Award. The award is presented to an individual or a team who has made an exceptional contribution in creating relationships which have a notable and sustained impact across research programs.
The Migration and Diaspora Studies Steering Committee has been working to publicize and address the difficulties faced by the refugee population, which has in recent times reached a critical size. According to professor Sahadeo, “One of the inspirations for this group was to combine research and advocacy on migration and diaspora issue.”
