Please join us on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, for a roundtable discussion titled “Uzbekistan: 25 Years of Independence.” The event will take place from 2:30pm-4:00pm in the Loeb building (room D382) on Carleton Campus.
This roundtable discussion will touch on political, socio-economic, and judicial developments in Uzbekistan since its independence from the Soviet Union. Themes in Uzbekistan’s foreign policy and the current state of Canadian-Uzbek relations will also be discussed. 
Roundtable participants include His Excellency, Bakhtiyar Gulyamov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States, and Mr. Kadambay Sultanov, Head of Americas Department, MFA of Uzbekistan. The discussion will be moderated by professor Jeff Sahadeo.
