The current issue of the Canadian Journal of European and Russian Studies (CJERS) addresses the political, social, and economic impacts of the 2004 enlargement of the European Union on the acceding countries. You may access the articles here.
CJERS is a double-blind peer-reviewed online journal (formerly Review of European and Russia Affairs, RERA). All articles are open access. CJERS is indexed in Scopus, ProQuest, EBSCO, and the DOAJ. We welcome submissions of research articles and proposals for special issues on topics related to the European Union, its Member States, the states of the former Soviet Union, and Central and Eastern Europe. The journal is interdisciplinary with a focus on the social sciences, policy studies, law, and international affairs. CJERS is published by the Centre for European Studies at Carleton University.
The editorial team welcomes submissions for our upcoming issues. We also welcome proposals for guest issues. The journal platform, in the most current version of the Online Journal System, improves the review procedure for all contributors, including authors and reviewers, and we are committed to making the process as efficient as possible.
