The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) has awarded a Partnership Engage Grant to Crina Viju-Miljusevic and Agnieszka Weinar for the project “Mentoring trans-Atlantic Women Entrepreneurs”.
The project responds to the immediate need of a not-for-profit partner, Canada-Europe Women in Business (Connections) Canada-Europe Femmes en Affaires (CEWB-CEFA), launching a Canada-Europe mentoring program for women entrepreneurs. The proposed research aims at building a formal network between women entrepreneurs in the EU and Canada and promote their participation in business activities benefitting from Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement. The overarching goal of the project is to gain a quantitative and qualitative picture of the dynamics related to the role of transatlantic business networks in supporting learning and entrepreneurship among women in business.
The project has been awarded a grant of $25,000 for a one-year period (2021-2022).
