The Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (EURUS) offers a flagship MA program that takes a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to studying the regions of Europe, Russia and Eurasia. In the MA, you can focus on any part of Europe, Russia or Eurasia while gaining a broader understanding of regional developments and interactions.
EURUS is home to world-class research and teaching, but also prides itself on its collegial atmosphere and a strong sense of community. This enriched learning environment provides students with the support and confidence needed to excel in their studies and pursue the extensive opportunities available to EURUS students including the co-op, internship and exchange programs, and financial support for research abroad.
Our new Dual MA with Université Catholique de Louvain and Université Saint-Louis Bruxelles allows students focusing on the European Union to spend a year in Belgium and earn two degrees – one from Carleton and one from our partner universities. Students interested in the Dual MA must first apply to the MA program.
EURUS also offers a Graduate Diploma in European Integration Studies that can be combined with many other graduate programs at Carleton University.
EURUS courses are taught by a team of experts and experienced professionals from a vast range of disciplines, including political science, history, international affairs, literature, anthropology, sociology, economics, and others.
