A difficult decision many older adults face is whether to continue to reside in their own home longer, to downsize or relocate to a supported living environment. Staying at home longer may satisfy a deep emotional need, but may become an impractical, unsafe or even an expensive option that directly impacts the wellbeing of the older adult and caregiver alike. Knowledge and understanding of available housing and the transition process can help aging loved ones and caregivers make a good choice.
