Applications to the Bachelor of Industrial Design program are managed by the Undergraduate Admissions Department. Students are required to have completed the following courses (4U level unless otherwise indicated):
- Advanced Functions
- Physics
- 4 additional credits
In addition, Design Technology and Visual Arts are strongly recommended.
Portfolio submission - Slideroom - OPENS Sept 1st
Portfolio Deadline: March 5 (Information session recommended)
Applicants to the program are also required to submit a portfolio for review in Sllideroom (link at bottom of this page). Successful candidates are chosen from a large pool of applicants. The design of the portfolio is important, and the Admissions Committee will also be considering the quality and clarity of the work presented.
The School of Industrial Design offers a straightforward digital only submission process. All details are available at the below guidelines for preparing a portfolio, including portfolio samples and videos. It is important to clearly follow format requirements to be considered for acceptance.
