Applications to the Bachelor of Industrial Design program are managed by the Undergraduate Admissions Department. Students are required to have completed the following courses (4U level unless otherwise indicated):
- Advanced Functions
- Physics
- 4 additional credits
In addition, Design Technology and Visual Arts are strongly recommended.
Portfolio submission - Slideroom - OPENS Sept 1st
Portfolio Deadline: March 3 (Information session recommended)
Applicants to the program are also required to submit a portfolio for review. Successful candidates are chosen from a large pool of applicants. In order to stand out, the design of your portfolio is important. Above all, your portfolio should show your ability to think and work creatively in both 2D and 3D, and to communicate this effectively.
The School of Industrial Design offers a straightforward digital-only online submission process. It is important to clearly follow format requirements to be considered for acceptance.
