To commemorate our 50th year, we are planning a special, in-person Alumni Night and Grad Show in Ottawa.
Date: April 22, 2023
Time: 5 PM-10 PM
Location: Richcraft Building, Carleton University, Ottawa
Event: SID 50 Alumni Night @ the 45th Grad Show
50TH UPDATE:
We are looking forward to seeing you on Saturday April 22nd for the SID 50th Anniversary Event at Richcraft Hall, Carleton University, Ottawa.
We have various start times:
- 3-5pm – Students will run tours from Richcraft Hall back to various original and new SID facilities on campus.
- 4pm – The cash bar opens at Richcraft Hall
- 5pm – We have a ‘hard start’ at 5pm in the Theatre in Richcraft Hall (be parked and settled before then) with our special keynotes and other special SID content.
- 6:30pm – After the theatre event we exit into the Atrium and get to see all the amazing Graduate work in this beautiful space.
- 6:30 – ~8:30 Dinner will be available for a couple of hours. It is a stand-up and mingle-style but there will certainly be some tables. We will also need to get a big group photo from the mezzanine above, of our whole community, in the Atrium.
- 10:00 ish – We will start to think of wrapping things up.
We will put the tickets up for sale early next week (April 10th) on Eventbrite.
This evening event will include:
- Graduating class work and 50th anniversary event in Richcraft Hall Atrium
- Exciting speakers + content relating to our theme: Past-Present-Future
- Dinner and drinks (cash bar)
- Tours of new studio spaces and School of Industrial Design shops
- Other fun event information to follow!
