Are you applying soon for a study permit extension, a Post-Graduation Work Permit, or Visitor Record? As of December 3, IRCC needs your biometrics (fingerprints and photo), if you didn’t give them before coming to Canada.
These are the new steps included in an online application if you must give biometrics:
- Pay an additional $85 biometrics fee.
- Receive the biometrics instruction letter in your online account.
- Make an appointment with a collections centre. The closest to Carleton is the Service Canada Centre-Passport Service office at 885 Meadlowlands Drive East.
- Go to Service Canada with your instruction letter and your passport.
