Whether you’re a seasoned job seeker or just starting to explore the job market, the second instalment of a four-part, in-person Resume Workshop Series is tailor-made to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to stand out in today’s competitive job landscape! Students who missed the first session are still invited and encouraged the upcoming session on September 28 which will focus on how to write a cover letter to accompany your resume. This session and the series in general allows students and alumni to get tips from a Career Consultant about resumes and includes time to work on your resume with their guidance.
A strong cover letter can increase your chances of landing an interview. As such, this session covers the basics of creating a noteworthy cover letter, including:
- How the cover letter differs from the resume
- Proper structure and layout
- How to connect your experience to each application
