Adjusting to life in a new culture can be both exciting and challenging. This workshop will explore practical strategies to help you navigate the process of cultural adaptation with confidence.

This workshop is designed to help you feel more confident and supported as you navigate life in Canada.

Here’s why you don’t want to miss it:

  • Build Connections: Meet fellow international students and create bonds with those who understand your journey.
  • Engage in Discussions: Participate in conversations about cultural differences, norms, and values in Canada while sharing your own cultural experiences.
  • Learn Strategies for Adjustment: Gain practical tips on dealing with homesickness, maintaining balance, and embracing new opportunities.
  • Interactive Activities: Take part in activities designed to explore Canadian culture and reflect on your own cultural identity.
  • Access Resources: Learn about support services, community events, and activities that can help you adapt more easily to your new surroundings.
  • Collaborate with Experts: Engage with on campus staff  who can provide insights into coping with culture shock and maintaining mental well-being.

This is a safe and welcoming space to ask questions, share thoughts, and leave with valuable tools to enhance your experience as an international student.

This workshop is your chance to gain tools, insights, and connections to help you make the most of your time at Carleton University.
