The Max and Tessie Zelikovitz Centre for Jewish Studies invites you to sign a Parliamentary petition supported by our Centre for Holocaust Education and Scholarship (CHES) that was initiated by one of their members, Dr Arthur Leader.
The petition asks the House of Commons to invest in and strengthen Holocaust education, research, and remembrance.
The petition has already been signed by former Prime Ministers Joe Clark and Paul Martin, members of the Carleton community including Dr. Benoit-Antoine Bacon (President, Carleton University), prominent Canadians such as Maureen McTeer, Lawrence Greenspan, and Rabbi Bulka, as well as local MPs, MPPs, Jewish community leaders, and academics.
The rise of antisemitism and antisemitic acts in Canada and around the world requires not only sober reflection, but action and leadership.
You can encourage the Canadian government to fight antisemitism and racism by signing the petition.
