It is with great sadness that we share that Dr. Susan Landau-Chark, Associate Director of the Zelikovitz Centre for Jewish Studies, passed away after a long illness early Monday June 5.
Dr. Susan Landau-Chark was a dedicated and well-respected scholar whose research and service to Jewish Studies has strengthened our discipline and deepened our understanding of Jewish life and practice. Her contributions at Carleton University’s Zelikovitz Centre have supported students and researchers to grow and advance the scholarship of Jewish studies. She has been a driving force for establishing a Jewish Studies library at the ZC, building a network of over 75 research affiliates, and organizing countless programs.
