To be completed by all students working in a lab on Carleton’s campus:

• Lab Safety (in person; schedule available here)
• Bio Safety (in person; schedule available here)
• Worker Health & Safety Awareness
• WHMIS Training
• Respect & Safety Training
• Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
  • Customer Service Standards
  • Employment Standard Training
  • Information and Communications Training

Additional training that may be required by individual supervisors:

• Animal Ethics
• Human Ethics

Once training is complete, you can be granted swipe card access to Carleton’s Health Sciences Building and interior lab space.

• To request this, email your student number to Ryan.MacKay@carleton.ca

Students working with an external supervisor (i.e. not in a lab on Carleton’s campus) must:

• Check with your supervisor to see what training is required by the institution which houses the lab.
• Print and complete the two relevant forms here.
• Signed forms must be sent to Ryan.MacKay@carleton.ca by the posted deadlines.
